Each year the East Texas Arson Investigators Association gives out college scholarships to sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters of our active members in good standing. The maximum allowed scholarship is $1000.00 per student, depending on availability of funds and number of applications received for the scholarship.
The applicant shall agree that the use of funds shall be predicated on his/her enrollment or continuance of education as a full time student in a recognized and/or accredited school such as college, university, trade school, or Business College. The approved funds are to be used for such purpose as tuition fees, books and school supplies, or housing expenses.
The applicant must possess qualities of good character and integrity and a record of satisfactory scholastic performance or school grades. The applicant must possess ambition and desire for continuance of education.
The Scholarship Funds may be utilized by a student for continuation to succeeding year or years upon satisfactory academic progress, subject to review by the Committee. The maximum number of years that funds may be granted to a student is 5 years. All students desiring continuation of funding must make application each year using this form.
